Lecture in Photography: Gregory Harris ‘06

Admission: Free  
A specialist in contemporary documentary photography, Gregory Harris is the Donald and Marilyn Keough Curator of Photography at Atlanta's High Museum of Art. His current projects include exhibitions titled "Truth Told Slant" and "Kelli Connell: Pictures for Charis." Before his tenure at the High, Harris held curatorial positions at the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago and the DePaul Art Museum in Chicago.

FOMENT highlights original dance works by Joey Martinez, Lydia Jacobson, Gabby Sheets, and Se’Niyah Tribble. Graduating Dance BFA students culminate their four years of study and practice with premieres of their original choreographic works.

Pulp Painting on Handmade Paper with Don Widmer 
Colvin House, 5940 N Sheridan Rd. 
Admission: Free 
Have you been wanting to jump in on the papermaking craze? Don Widmer (MFA ‘12) will teach several techniques of applying pulp to a wet sheet, including stenciling bird imagery (one of his specialties.) Participants will leave with 2-3 pulp paintings to take home. No experience necessary.

This opening reception and artist talk with Dakota Mace features works by various artists who use photography and installations to explore nature, ecology, and our connection to the earth. The exhibition will run through August 18.
